My dad is difficult to shop for but I know he has been looking for a new grate for the fireplace for some time now, so I figured this was a pretty safe bet. I measured to make sure this would fit and it did. The feet allow a fair amount of space below the grate for air circulation. It is heavy duty and the high back keeps logs from falling off. This was a great purchase and I am sure it will be a very useful gift my dad will appreciate for years to come.

This grate seems to be an excellent replacement for the one we had for over 25 years that finally broke! The new one is not quite as heavy, but sure seems to handle the wood we keep piling on it. I would recommend this product to friends and family.
