I wanted to change from fireplace doors to a screen, but didn't want to spend a lot of money. This screen fit the bill. It's attractive and the price was better than I've seen anywhere else. We're in the middle of summer, so we haven't used it yet with a fire going. I think it will do a fine job as the mesh is very tight.

This fireplace screen exceeded my expectations. The picture on the internet made the mesh appear more dense than it is and it also looked like there were horizontal lines that made the screen appear too busy. I purchased it anyway because I could not find anything better elsewhere. It arrived within a few days after I placed the order and to my surprise and complete satisfaction, the mesh did not have any horizontal lines and the screen is pretty clear. Without or without the fire going, it looks perfect.
