very pretty, not too much brass to over power. shows the fire and lets the heat out. Love it. just felt a tad more expenisive than worth. only the top design is cast brass.

Looks fantastic, really impressive piece. Only drawback is that the large top brass decoration in the middle isn't soldered on one side of the top. However, this isn't visible unless you examine it closely, and doesn't interfere with operation or balance. I use this with a large carved wooden mantle with a marble surround, and it really adds a distinctive touch to the fireplace.
