The screen is pretty but is not substantial. It is not made of solid iron, the bars appear to be hollow. A cast iron screen would have been a lot heavier, and it appeared heavier on the picture. It is light and if you have a toddler, the child can easily pull it down. It doesn't have any good way to secure it e.g. sturdy legs. One side of the frame came slightly bent. I would only recommend buying it at a lower price.

This is a very high quality screen. Exceeded my expectations. The weight adds to the value. Not easy to knock over and seems it will last. Good color and attractive style.

This screen looks much better in person than on the website--more brown than the picture shows. I am very pleased with this purchase[...] I will certainly order from them again when I need a screen for my other fireplace.
