Cut from the rugged side of a basswood tree, this mantel features a rough front. The mantel ends have natural scuff marks and the slab has a smooth top. With a beautiful wood top and face, this mantel has a natural appearance.

        This piece is beautiful. I was worried by the picture online, but took a chance because the dims sounded about right. Looks nothing like the picture here. Beautiful piece with that rustic natural look but really a chunky feel that I was looking for. Looks much smaller in the picuture. If you are looking for a large "chunk" of natural wood, this is it.

          I was a little reluctant ordering an item like this without seeing it first, but the picture didn't do it justice! A beautiful piece of wood that was easy to work with and mount.
