        It's a beautiful mantel. Does not come with hardware but I was informed that it did. The other thing that was annoying was that the product did not come with the essential piece: the hanging board. Had to call customer service, who informed me that Hayneedle doesn't replace parts. I had to call the actual manufacturer, who happily sent me the missing piece. Was not pleased with this.

        Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

            This is basically "you get what you pay for". It requires additional support (labor) to get this to mount flush with the wall. The board that mounts to the wall that the mantel slides onto is not enough. Looks nice once the painstaking process of hanging it straight is complete.
